Raes on Wategos offers an opulent location to assist in celebrating special and momentous occasions hosting up to 16 guests in 7 unique suites, as well as exclusive access to the pool and spa.
Located a short stroll from the Hotel, Raes Guesthouses offer an additional 11 rooms and suites, hosting up to 22 guests.
Elegant, relaxed, and filled with an abundance of natural light, Raes Dining Room offers unparalleled views of Wategos Beach and its lush surroundings.
Executive Chef, Jason Saxby, presents a contemporary Australian menu with a Mediterranean influence executed with care and finesse, whilst our refined wine offering allows for perfect pairings.
The space is ideal for an intimate event of up to 50 guests seated.
Located on our beachside terrace, the Cellar Bar overlooks Wategos Beach and its picturesque surrounds.
With umbrella coverage, this space is a perfect location for a relaxed yet elegant outdoor celebration.
Sun-drenched, comfortable, and versatile, the Cellar Bar is ideal for an intimate event of up to 30 guests seated or 40 guests standing.
Our Penthouses offer a divine setting for intimate celebrations.
On a case-by-case basis, our Penthouses are available for smaller, more boutique events of up to 15 guests seated or standing, running from 2pm to 6pm. Both spaces come with a food and beverage minimum spend of $8,000.
Raes is delighted to welcome exclusive events over a minimum 2 night stay providing an elegant, opulent, and exceptionally private space for you and your guests.
Your arrival day involves check in from 2pm and the option to hold a welcome event that evening in our Cellar Bar.
The following day would be your wedding or main event day, so the full venue - being Raes Hotel, Dining Room and Cellar Bar - is closed and dedicated to hosting.
The next morning you check out at 11am - unless you are interested in a 3 night stay, in which case you can hold a recovery event.
Hotel exclusivity allows 50 guests seated or 75 guests standing.
Alternatively, Raes Dining Room or Cellar Bar can be available for exclusive use from 12pm until 4pm for lunchtime only events. This offering has a food and beverage minimum spend of $20,000 in the Dining Room and $10,000 in the Cellar Bar.
Raes Guesthouses are available for private book-outs, providing an intimate and refined backdrop for boutique activations or corporate gatherings.

Pricing:
All pricing quoted is inclusive of GST. For individual venue bookings, a 10% service fee is added to the total final food and beverage bill.
Offsite ceremony:
A permit must be applied for through the Cape Byron Trust to have a wedding ceremony on the lawn in front of the Hotel, Cape Byron Lighthouse, Wategos Beach or Little Wategos. For further information on applications for a permit please do not hesitate to enquire.
Blackout periods:
In December & January we are unable to accommodate private functions.
Music:
Entertainment must be pre-approved by Raes’ events team. Raes has a strict curfew of music to be lowered at 9:45pm and switched off at the conclusion of the event at 10pm.
Decibel maximum for all events must not exceed 75.
Please kindly note, PA equipment for speeches needs to be hired.
Conclusion of the event:
Bus transport must be organised for all external guests at 10pm.
Following an event, only guests staying in house are permitted on the premises.
Noise after hours is not permitted.
